Kiva "allows local lenders across the world to track innovative forms of lending, such as Ndung'u's asset loans from a Nairobi lender called Juhudi."
"Micro-asset lending is pretty rare right now," Shah said. "But others are watching what Juhudi is doing and if it continues to show high repayment rates, others may duplicate the concept."
