John Hopkins MBA students collaborate with Juhudi Kilimo to innovate

The impact of many institutions of higher in most countries in Africa is often said to be minimal.

Many are accused of training graduates who cannot come up with solutions to society’s problems thus enhancing a culture of dependence in many African countries.

However, for any country to excel socially, politically and economically, its people particularly those trained at higher learning institutions must fully participate in solving its problems.

Thus, in trying to enhance the impact of universities in the society, an American institution is collaborating with a Kenyan university to encourage students to be social entrepreneurs.

Kenya ’s Strathmore University is cooperating with John Hopkins Carey Business School (JHCBS) of United States to train their students on social entrepreneurship skills...
